Penny Owl helps you find better AI models at better prices

Before you generate your next AI video or image, or send a request to an AI language model, one question is worth asking: where can I use the model I want at the best price?
I created PennyOwl.org to make that question easier to answer. It is a free, nonprofit community project from Benny Labs Foundation that brings AI model rankings and API price comparisons into one place. Our aim is simple: help people spend less time searching and make better choices with their money.
Choose a model and find its price
Penny Owl covers three categories: AI Brain for language models, AI Images and AI Videos. We research offers across 20 AI aggregators and use matching results from our ten listed leaderboard sources to build combined rankings. Each model appears only where we have verified that an approved aggregator offers it. Not every leaderboard tests every model, so a combined rank uses the matching results available for that model.
Quality helps you choose a model. Price helps you decide where to use it. Click a model to open its comparison page and see the available sellers, their prices and any published sales. Where several sellers share the lowest price, the comparison page lets you inspect those choices.
Compare costs in useful units
AI pricing can be difficult to compare. One provider charges per second, another per clip, and another per token. Penny Owl puts those offers into common units: video prices per minute at 480p, 720p and 1080p; image prices by 1K, 2K and 4K size; and language model prices per million input and output tokens, shown separately.
The settings matter. A nearby resolution keeps its actual label, and video comparisons use offers with native audio. A per-minute price does not mean a model can generate a single 60-second clip. Clip limits, reference inputs, quality settings and billing details still need to match your job. The goal is a useful comparison of the same model under comparable settings.
Let your AI check before you spend
The copper button at the top of the site says, “Copy me. Paste me in your AI.” It copies instructions asking your assistant to check Penny Owl before generating a video. The assistant can read our public text guide at https://pennyowl.org/ai-savings.txt and compare fresh matching offers before choosing a seller.
Your assistant needs web access, and you can save the prompt in its instructions where supported. Penny Owl supplies the comparison information. Generation happens through your chosen provider, using your own API access and spending permissions. You do not need a Penny Owl key to read the guide.
A penny saved for everyone
Our server starts its connected price and benchmark refresh every day at 8 AM Eastern. The text guide updates with the completed refresh. Some sources still need manual research, and individual successful check dates matter. We do not treat a missing price as free.
Penny Owl is free to use. We are a nonprofit, so there are no owners or shareholders taking a cut, and everything beyond the cost of running the service goes back into lower prices. The penny reflects our care for every penny you spend. The owl represents keeping an eye on useful deals. The .org reflects our community purpose.
